The main aim of our kindergarten is to meet the needs of the whole child and their family. We hope that by providing the best possible holistic care and education, we will promote your child’s optimum wellbeing and development.

Their is a strong emphasis on a traditional and natural childhood, maintaining good social values and encouraging enjoyment and care for nature.

We place great importance on our outdoor environment which includes;
to the front of the house, a large tree house (under which there is a construction and role play area), and an extensive rear garden, vegetable plot and orchard (complete with chickens).

To help us to provide the most suitable play and learning environment within which to nurture and develop each child’s potential we have four departments: The Baby Room, Pumpkin House, Middle Room and Big Room.

To promote wellbeing each department (except the Big Room) has its own peaceful sleep room.

The children are grouped according to their needs and stage of development, providing a gentle progression.

The children take part in creative outdoor play, health & wellbeing activities including yoga, and preparing & cooking of healthy food. There is an extensive menu of freshly prepared healthy meals, often using our own organic produce.

Our ethos and curriculum have been influenced by the philosophies and teaching styles of Froebel, Montessori, High Scope and Reggio Emilio, and more recently through contributing to E.E.L. (The Effective Early Learning Research Project).

We have taken part in several films, produced by Worcestershire Education Authority to promote good practice, as well as for the E.E.L. research programme.

To assist a smooth transition from home to kindergarten we encourage a settling in period for the child and their family. During this time we suggest that a parent or someone with a close relationship remains with the child until they are settled and familiar with us and our surroundings. There is no charge or set time for this period.

Please do visit us at any time. There is absolutely no need to make an appointment. We have an Open House policy.
Opening hours:
